Red for Fall/Winter 2017
Hello, everyone. Welcome to K-Beauty & Style, a Tuesday segment that brings you updates on the latest beauty and fashion trends from Seoul. I am Yooree Kim.

Although the temperatures are still high, there is a hint of fall in each breeze and slightly cooler mornings and evenings. With the new season comes new fashion trends—and today I’m going share tips on how to wear red, officially the “it” color for Fall/Winter 2017.

Red was the color of all Fall/Winter 2017 Fashion Weeks. The Fall/Winter 2017 runways were literally drenched in bright red hues, with head-to-toe crimson looks sweeping the catwalks. From winter coats to suits, oversized knits and accessories, the season’s most wearable trends are all getting the “red” treatment, giving a perfect excuse to rock the trend.

* Go for head-to-toe red looks
Among other signature looks, head-to-toe crimson looks dominated the runways. This season, instead of mixing red with neutral colors as you normally do, go for all-red outfits and transform your everyday look. For an evening out, swap your regular LBDs (little black dress) for an LRD (little red dress) and instantly rev up your wardrobe. Top off the look with a pair of red stilettos instead of your usual black pumps. For the office, ditch your everyday black slacks and opt for a pair of crimson pants. Team up the look with a flowy red silk blouse and a pair of red pumps and you have a super stylish outfit.

*Play with textures and shades
When rocking red, play with a variety of textures and shades and take your fashion to the next level. Ditch the obvious and be experimental when sporting the trend—for instance, feminine fabrics such as silk or lace paired with knits and suede can create a whole new look. Also play with different shades of red—everything from orangey-red and ruby red to burgundy, all of which are super popular this season. In particular, bright orangey-reds will be one of our favorite colors of the season. Add a neon red peacoat to your fall wardrobe and flaunt your fashion sense!

* Rock red accessories
If you are feeling less daring, you can always start with the accessories, and work your way up. Mix and match red stilettos, sneakers, clutch bags, strap watches, and more and look trend-right in an instant.

Rock red now and stay stylish!
