The Melon Music Awards, hosted by actor Song Joong-gi, was held at Kyunghee University's Peace Auditorium on December 15th. To name some of the honorees, the Top 10 Artists for this year were Girls Generation, 2AM, 2PM, 2NE1, T-ara, CNBLUE, IU, Lee Seung-gi, DJ DOC, and 4men. In addition to the 2010 Top 10 Award, Girls Generation was also awarded with the Artist Award, and Hot Trend Award. The Newbie Award went to the group CNBLUE. Best Album Award went to 2NE1, while the Best Song Award went to 2AM.
