Moon to Hold Virtual Summit with Mongolian President

President Moon Jae-in will hold a virtual summit with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh on Friday afternoon. 

Presidential spokesperson Park Kyung-mee said the two leaders will meet virtually to discuss ways to promote cooperation in bilateral relations and regional and global issues. 

The virtual meeting marks the first summit between the two nations since Khurelsukh was elected president in June. 

The spokesperson said Mongolia is an important participant in the South Korea-led Northeast Asia conference on health security, adding the two leaders will hold an extensive discussion on COVID-19 responses. 

She said the leaders will also discuss matters of mutual interest including Korean Peninsula issues and ways to cooperate at international meetings.
