The World Economic Forum in Davos is set to open in Switzerland on Wednesday.

Politicians, government officials and businesspeople from around the world gather at the Davos Forum to exchange information and opinions.

This year, 30 heads of state --- including President Lee Myung-bak --- and 14-hundred entrepreneurs --- such as Bill Gates and George Soros --- will attend the forum.

The theme of the forum, which is in its 40th year, will be "Improve the State of the World: Rethink, Redesign, Rebuild."

Participants will discuss regulations on speculative capital, support for quake-stricken Haiti, and climate change.

Lee will deliver a speech at the forum on Thursday.
