Korea 7th in China's Human Development Index

The Chinese Academy of Science has ranked Korea seventh in the world in the human development index.

The think tank released in Beijing Saturday the 2007 Human Development Index of 131 countries, ranking Korea seventh after Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and the U.S.

The index measures a country's life expectancy, education, Internet penetration rate, environment and per capita GDP.
