Kanwa Asian Defence magazine says the Chinese military is deploying intermediate-range ballistic missiles in Santung Province that are capable of hitting South Korea and Japan.

The Canadian-based monthly said that a unit operating 18-hundred-kilometer-range “DongFeng 21” missiles has been stationed in the city of Laiwu. The magazine also disclosed satellite pictures of the unit.

The missile’s range would make it capable of hitting the entire Korean Peninsula and most military bases in Japan.
