Joint Probe Team to Brief UNSC on Jun 14th

The military and civic joint probe team that investigated the sinking of the Cheonan will brief members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) about their findings on Monday at 3 p.m. local time at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

The team is also said to be providing separate briefings to friendly nations, including the U.S. and Japan, before making a presentation to the full UNSC.

A source says the joint probe team will show a video of the salvage efforts that discovered the torpedo propeller as evidence in the closed session.

In addition, the team will likely explain how their salvage efforts used pair trawlers, and the results of tests that found aluminum oxide on the Cheonan naval vessel and the torpedo propeller.
