The European Union has once again denounced North Korea for sinking the South Korean warship "Cheonan."

At the European Parliament's general assembly held in France, the EU's High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, criticized North Korea's involvement in the sinking of the Cheonan and called for adequate measures.

Participants of the EP assembly denounced Pyongyang and urged China and Russia to cooperate in U.N. Security Council discussions to adopt a related resolution.

The European Parliament will vote on its own resolution condemning North Korea on Thursday.
