A huge billboard in Times Square in New York has begun to show an advertisement thanking countries who fought in the Korean War on the occasion of the war's 60th anniversary.

Renowned Korea publicist and visiting professor at Sungshin Women's University Seo Kyoung-duk says the display began to air from Monday New York time on a CNN news billboard in Times Square.

Titled "What are these numbers?," the ad shows how the international coalition of soldiers who fought in the Korean War came to realize peace and how Korea is grateful.

The message will air 350 times over the next two weeks.
