Leaders of the Group of Eight nations have announced a statement condemning North Korea for attacking South Korea’s “Cheonan” naval vessel.

They issued the statement at the end of their summit Saturday in Toronto, saying a joint probe team led by South Korea and joined by international experts has concluded that Pyongyang is responsible for the sinking.

The G8 leaders urged the North to refrain from making threats on the South.

They also expressed deep concerns over Pyongyang's nuclear tests and missile launches, urging the international community to strictly implement all U.N. Security Council resolutions on the North.
