Korean Pavilion Visitors Surpass 2mln at Shanghai Expo

More than two million people have visited the Korean pavilion two months after it opened at the 2010 Expo Shanghai.

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, which manages the Korean pavilion, said that at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, a Chinese office worker was the two-millionth individual to enter the Korean exhibit.

The chief of the Korean Pavilion said that the South Korean pavilion is one of the most popular at the Expo. He added that the operators of the Korean Pavilion would implement full scale online PR activities. They include events for Web site visitors, blogs and smartphones.

The Shanghai Expo has attracted 21-million visitors as of Wednesday, making it appear likely that its target of 70-million visitors would be met.
