The chairman of the presidential committee for the Group of 20 summit says the development of policies for the post-crisis era will be the goal of the next G20 gathering.

Chairman Sakong Il, who is visiting the U.S. to coordinate agendas for the Seoul summit in November, told reporters on Thursday that the G20 summit in Seoul will focus on deciding a direction for the post-crisis global economy, including the creation of policies to prevent a recurrence of such a crisis.

He added that the summit will address economic development and financial safety net issues, which are the main areas of interest to developing nations and emerging economies.
