S.Korean Biz Convention Opens in Shenyang

The Global Korean Business Convention 2010 China opened in Shenyang on Monday for a four-day run.

The convention will feature programs to boost bilateral exchanges, including exhibits of South Korean products, investment promotion briefings and seminars on success stories about Korean businesses in China.

Cultural events will be held on the sidelines, including the KBS TV show “Open Concert,” Korean food and film festivals, and performances of the Korean martial art “taekwondo.”

Some 15-hundred Korean and Chinese politicians and businesspeople from China and abroad are attending the convention.

Special Presidential Aide Kim Deog-ryong, who is also in attendance, is calling for a bilateral free trade agreement between the two sides.
