The U.S. and North Korea on Monday held working-level talks at the truce village of Panmunjeom to work out details on repatriating the remains of American soldiers killed during the Korean War.

According to sources in Seoul and U.S. Forces in Korea, the two sides discussed when and how to return the war remains to follow up on agreements reached Sunday during general-level talks.

During Sunday's meeting, the U.S. and the North agreed to begin working-level talks and restart joint operations to search for the remains of some 53-hundred American soldiers who never returned home.

The officials who attended the Monday meeting were not disclosed, but the U.S. delegation is said to have included an official from the U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.

The outcome of the talks has yet to be released, but the two sides reportedly discussed a possible repatriation around July 27th, the 65th anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement that ended the Korean War.
