Seoul’s Foreign Ministry says it sees Washington's new sanctions on three senior North Korean officials as part of its regular activities. 

The U.S. Treasury Department imposed the sanctions Monday citing the officials' role in human rights abuses and censorship. 

A Foreign Ministry official said Seoul’s basic stance is to work with the international community so North Korean residents’ human rights conditions will practically improve.
