The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell two-point-66 points, or point-13 percent, on Thursday. It ended the day at two-thousand-28-point-54.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 15-point-84 points, or two-point-19 percent, to close at 708-point-75. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened five-point-two won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-239-point-six won.
