The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 12-point-27 points, or one-point-50 percent, to close at 827-point-57.

On the foreign exchange counter, the local currency weakened two-point-one won against the U.S. dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-193-point-four won.
