Less than a week after wrapping up a rare congress of the ruling Workers' Party, North Korea is set to convene its rubber-stamp parliament to discuss what was put forth during the party congress.

According to the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) on Wednesday, the fourth session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly meeting will take place in Pyongyang on Sunday.

KCNA said the session will discuss organizational issues, adopting a law on the five-year plan for national economic development and budget and accounts for the 2020 state budget, as well as the one for the new year.

During the eight-day party congress that ended on Tuesday, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was elected the general secretary of the ruling party.

The party leadership was reorganized, indicating the possibility for reshuffles of the State Affairs Commission and the Cabinet at the upcoming parliamentary session.
