A former Seoul city government employee has been handed a prison sentence for sexually assaulting a fellow public servant.

The Seoul Central District Court handed down a three-and-a-half-year prison term for quasi-rape to the man, who is a former secretary to late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon.

The court said the man took advantage of the victim when she was intoxicated, causing mental distress and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. 

The victim is the same woman who filed sexual assault charges against the late Seoul mayor.
