President Moon Jae-in will hold a New Year press conference on Monday to explain the government’s key policies for 2021.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Min-seok announced the plan in a media briefing on Friday.

During the 100-minute-long live television event to kick off at the presidential office at 10 a.m., Moon will answer questions from a group of 120 local and foreign reporters and share his thoughts on a wide array of state affairs, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy, politics, diplomacy and social issues.

Due to pandemic-related distancing rules, the top office will limit the venue to 20 journalists, with the remaining 100 to access the conference online.

Major agenda items likely to be covered by the president include inter-Korean relations, possible pardons of two former convicted presidents and real estate policies.
