An earthquake with a magnitude of four-point-six was reported in waters near China on Monday morning, with calls reported from across South Korea from people who felt the tremor.

Quoting data by the China Earthquake Administration, Seoul's Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA) said on Tuesday that the quake was reported at 3:21 a.m. in waters 332 kilometers off east Qingdao.

The depth of the quake was estimated at 12 kilometers.

Many calls were reported from across the nation from those who felt the tremor, with a resident in Seoul claiming to have felt the bed shake.

The weather agency reportedly received dozens of such calls right after the quake, while KBS received similar reports from people in Seoul and Gwangju.
