Pfizer Korea will apply this month for authorization to use its COVID-19 vaccine so South Koreans can soon begin receiving inoculations.

On Thursday, industry sources say Pfizer will submit an application to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety before the end of the month, through Pfizer stopped short of mentioning a date.

Pfizer has been taking follow-up measures since it applied for a review of the clinical and non-clinical data on its vaccines on Monday.

Pfizer said it is working to bring the vaccines as swiftly as possible to Korea in cooperation with the government.
