The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 27-point-87 points, or zero-point-90 percent, on Monday to close at three-thousand-79-point-75.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing ten-point-82 points, or one-point-12 percent, to close at 954-point-29. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-five won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-110-point-four won.
