South Korea's daily COVID-19 cases climbed back over 400 again to 446 on Tuesday amid lingering concerns about a possible fourth wave of infections.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said Tuesday that the new cases raised the country's accumulated caseload to 93-thousand-263.

The daily figure rose by 100 from the previous day, when it briefly fell to the mid-300s.

Of the new cases detected throughout Monday, 427 were local transmissions and 19 were imported.

About 70 percent of the local cases came from the greater metro area, with 98 in Seoul, 181 in Gyeonggi Province and 20 in Incheon. Other parts of the nation added 128 cases.

Three more people have died, bringing the death toll to one-thousand-645. The fatality rate stands at one-point-76 percent.

The number of critically ill coronavirus patients remained unchanged at 128.
