North Korea has submitted a plan on COVID-19 vaccinations to the UN Children's Fund or UNICEF.
UNICEF spokesperson for East Asia and Pacific Shima Islam told Radio Free Asia that "all country vaccination plans have been submitted," implying that North Korea has submitted one, although the official did not name the country.
The spokeswoman explained that countries have been encouraged to prioritize frontline health workers, older people and those with underlying conditions in their vaccination plans.
Regarding North Korea, she added that UNICEF does not have any further information on vaccine delivery to the regime and noted the border closures currently in effect.
Earlier the COVAX Facility global vaccine program said it will allot close to two million doses to North Korea and have one-point-seven million delivered by May.
North Korea will receive the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine produced by India's Serum Institute.
UNICEF is in charge of vaccine distribution for COVAX.
