The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose five-point-85 points, or zero-point-19 percent on Thursday, to close at three-thousand-143-point-26.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eight-point-80 points, or zero-point-90 percent, to close at 982-point-02. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened point-nine won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-117-point-two won.
