The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 31-point-37 points, or one percent on Thursday, to close at three-thousand-178-point-74.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining two-point-79 points, or zero-point-29 percent, to close at 969-point-99. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-two won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-125-point-eight won.
