South Korea's benchmark stock index hit an all-time high for the third straight day. 

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 20-point-05 points, or zero-point-62 percent on Wednesday, closing the day at three-thousand-278-point-68. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining one-point-12 points, or zero-point-11 percent, to close at 998-point-49.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened zero-point-two won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-117-point-two won.
