The U.S. criticized North Korea's test launches of a new long-range cruise missile over the weekend, calling them threats to the country's neighbors and the international community.

In a statement on Sunday, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said the tests highlight North Korea's continuing focus on developing its military program.

The North's Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) earlier said the test launches were successfully carried out on Saturday and Sunday.

The news agency added that the missiles traveled one-thousand-500 kilometers in flight paths over the country and territorial waters to hit the targets.

South Korea and the U.S. are reportedly in the process of analyzing the missile launches.
