Starting Wednesday, users of food delivery apps will be eligible for a cashback of ten-thousand won on every fourth order worth 20-thousand won or more.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs resumed the cashback program run in conjunction with credit card companies in an effort to stimulate domestic demand amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Nineteen delivery apps, including Baemin, Yogiyo and Coupang Eats, and nine credit card companies will participate.
After joining the event through a credit card company, users will receive a cashback reward to be applied the following month if they had spent 20-thousand won or more on each of the four delivery app transactions.
Only prepaid takeout and deliveries will be counted toward the cashback program. The ministry has earmarked 20 billion won for the event, which will expire once the sum is spent.
