A media art show kicks off at the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon on Friday for a month-long run, the first of four autumn festivals held in the Gyeonggi capital.

The 2021 Suwon Hwaseong Media Art Show will incorporate projection mapping techniques and special lights to accentuate the beauty of the fortress, a designated UNESCO world heritage site.

The festival takes place around Jangan Park and Hwaseo Gate, one of the fortress’ four gates. The main event titled "Media Facade & Light Show" will be showcased along a 220-meter-long fortress wall six times a day from 7 to 10 p.m. 

Various other programs are also in store, such as a display of light fixtures and exhibitions that visitors can enjoy while walking around in consideration of social distancing rules.
