The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 71-point-61 points, or two-point-56 percent, on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-720-point-39.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 25-point-96 points, or two-point-84 percent, to close at 889-point-44.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-198-point-six won.
