The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 23-point-86 points, or zero-point-92 percent, on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-620-point-44.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining nine-point-73 points, or one-point-14 percent, to close at 865-point-98.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened nine-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-275 won.
