The country's main bourse hit a fresh 19-month low on Wednesday as the downward trend continues.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 66-point-12 points, or two-point-74 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-342-point-81.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 31-point-34 points, or four-point-03 percent, to close at 746-point-96.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-297-point-three won.
