The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 29-point-59 points, or one-point-21 percent, on Monday, ending the day at two-thousand-408-point-27.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 15-point-66 points, or two-point-13 percent, closing the day at 717-point-90.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened 16-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-340-point-two won.
