The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 30-point-55 points, or one-point-26 percent, on Monday, to close the day at two-thousand-462-point-62.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 14-point-09 points, or one-point-76 percent, to close at 816-point-51.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened four-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-296-point-nine won.
