The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) jumped nine-point-24 points, or zero-point-38 percent, on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-453-point-16.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining six-point-54 points, or zero-point-77 percent, to close at 850-point-48.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-299 won.
