The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell eight-point-four points, or zero-point-32 percent, on Wednesday, to close the day at two-thousand-577-point-12.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ meanwhile rose, gaining five-point-44 points, or zero-point-64 percent, to close at 856-point-94.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-327-point-two won.
