New COVID-19 Cases at 19,724

The nation added nearly 20-thousand new COVID-19 cases on Thursday after most of the remaining antivirus regulations were lifted.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters said Friday that 19-thousand-724 infections were reported throughout Thursday, including 28 from overseas, bringing the total caseload to over 31 million-747-thousand. 

The figure dropped by about 48-hundred from a day ago, but climbed by about 18-hundred from a week ago. It rose by 147 from two weeks ago.

The daily average for the past week was tallied at 16-thousand-951.

The number of hospitalized patients in intensive care dropped by eleven from a day ago to 155.

The death toll climbed by eleven to stand at 34-thousand-815, with the overall fatality rate remaining at zero-point-11 percent.
