The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) jumped 32-point-19 points, or one-point-25 percent, on Friday, to close the week at two-thousand-601-point-36.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining four-point-28 points, or zero-point-five percent, to close at 868-point-06.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened 15-point-nine won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-305-point-seven won.
