The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 21-point-35 points, or zero-point-86 percent, on Monday, to close the day at two-thousand-491-point-20.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped, climbing 14-point-02 points, or one-point-75 percent, to close at 813-point-08.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened five-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-291-point-six won.
