The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 31-point-72 points, or one-point-77 percent, on Tuesday. It ended the day at one-thousand-823-point-six.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining nine-point-69 points, or one-point-62 percent, to close at 606-point-nine. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened eight-point-one won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-221-point-two won.
