Friday, November 8, 2019 question:
Who do you sympathize with most in colder weather? (I.e. the outdoor parking attendant, delivery people on motorcycles, etc)
Hey there guys!
I feel for those who work as linemen/Dept of Water/DOT etc especially during a crisis in the winter time. I'm from (north)Georgia in the States and we don't get fluffy, nice, pretty snow 95% of the time. If we have a winter weather crisis, we get cold weather that goes right thru your bones bc it's still so humid here and icky non powdery snow or nice layers of ice. BLACK ICE!
For us, we live rural enough that we prep the generator prior to cold weather season. If we lose power, it will be a good minute before we get it fixed. Thats when I feel for the workers that have to go out and work on the lines or roads. They're out there in the midst of all the nasty weather and having to fix the issues. Downed powerlines, downed trees, busted water pipes on the roads! It can get messy! We always have hot chocolate or something warm on stand by for them if we they happen to take a break on our property. Remember your local linemen and DOT during this winter! We appreciate ours!
-Thanks! Sylvia
