A year ago my family was watching Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and Aespa performed Savage. It was so different it piqued my interest and I looked them up later. But I forgot the group name and ended up finding BP’s Pretty Savage instead. It’s comical now that I didn’t realize I found the wrong 4 girls for a few days.

By Christmas, a month later, I was spending my commutes marking new favorites on an ever-growing stream channel and I had to pick one group at a time to watch videos, livestreams, and guides to learn their details so I could keep everything from becoming a conflated information overload.

It’s hard to believe how much I have dived in this last year and still feel like I’m still at the tip of the iceberg. OFD has certainly helped me widen my tastes to appreciate slower soulful songs and also go back into the years I missed out on.
