Cactus by Twice has had a personal meaning to me ever since I read the lyrics.

I have had to work two jobs keeping me away from home too much while my cat had been losing all her weight down to skin and bones over weeks. Despite visits to the veterinarian for tests and medications and a hope dwindled she kept shutting down and we had to say goodbye today. 

This song hits me so hard because often I had to check on her as I was leaving and fearing she would feel abandoned all day until I got home. I left her new treats each day hoping she’d eat them and trying medicines and new foods at night. Many posts here recently were typed while using my phone quietly right next to her as she slept.

If you can play Cactus once in memoriam for her when you get this, I would appreciate it. She was a very affectionate cat over the last 12 years and even as she weakened at the end. I took shifts off to spend all the time I could the last couple days trying to make her feel loved when the end was coming. This is the first very empty night at home.
