Major Broadcasters to Release Joint Exit Poll at 8 p.m. Tuesday

Major South Korean broadcasters --- KBS, MBC and SBS --- and the Korean Broadcasters Association will release joint exit poll results of the presidential election shortly after voting closes at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The association announced Monday that their joint election forecast committee will conduct the survey at 330 polling stations across the country on some 99-thousand voters after they cast ballots on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The committee will include early voting results to enhance the accuracy of the exit polls.

Previously, exit polls only predicted election results, but the poll on Tuesday will ask voters 16 questions, including who they voted for, why they voted for the candidate, as well as their opinions on major issues.
