[Candidate 5] Sim Sang-jeung - Justice Party

A student activist at Seoul National University, Sim Sang-jeung of the Justice Party became a factory worker after her graduation. In 1993, she was sentenced to one year in prison with a stay of execution for two years after being accused of organizing a strike.
 
She became a proportional representative in 2004, and then served two more terms representing districts in Gyeonggi Province. This is her second run for the presidency. She dropped out of the race in 2012 after endorsing Moon Jae-in.
