The 3rd Korean Language Video Contest <Speak Korean, Dream High>

Celebrating its 3rd year, the Korean Language Video Contest lasted from June 8 until September 10 this year. The annual Korean contest was launched in 2014, and has since become a Korean festival for people all around the world. This year’s Korean Language Video Contest was more popular than ever, with the first applicant’s video being uploaded less than an hour after the contest website opened. Over 400 videos from 56 different nations were sent in for the Preliminary Round.

After three rounds, the TOP 3 finalists chosen for their superb Korean skills and their love for Korea were: British medical student, Fatima Shittu; Indonesian student majoring in Korean, Nurvira Liza Putri; and Canadian web programmer, Aidan Waite.

The TOP 3 came to Korea on September 4 for a weeklong visit, filled with Korean cultural experiences and Korean lessons with KBS announcers. Also the Final Round determined who would take home the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. They were also given the chance to meet with Korean mentors to discuss their dreams.
Tune in for the whole story on the special 2-part program.
