Slugger Lee Seung-yeop will likely play another season for the Chiba Lotte Marines of Japan's pro baseball league.

Japan's Jiji Press on Saturday quoted Marines President Ryujo Setoyama as saying Lee expressed his intention to stay with the team and that the player is almost certain to re-sign.

Lee and the team, however, have yet to work out specific details on terms and conditions of his contract extension.

Japanese media say Lotte has offered Lee an annual salary of 200 million yen and control over the terms of the contract.

The slugger led Lotte this season with 30 homers and 82 runs scored, and set several records in the playoffs as the team won the Japan Series.
