Japan PM Mum on Dokdo Controversy
Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi is remaining silent over the controversy surrounding his country's new textbooks describing the Dokdo islets as Japanese territory.
In a news conference Thursday at his official residence, he simply said textbook reviews are best left in the hand of experts.
He also declined comment on his controversial visits to the Yasukuni war shrine.
